
John Glover, CISSP, CISA, CMC
John C. Glover is the President and Co-founder of MayneStay Consulting Group Ltd., an independent information management and human resources development company.
John is a hands-on senior certified management consultant ( and a member of the Canadian Association of management Consultants CAMC ). Throughout his lengthy career in the Information Technology and Telecommunications fields he has conducted a variety of assignments worldwide. This exposure has provided the opportunity to gain a deep appreciation for the linkages between business and technology.
The primary focus of every assignment has been to provide consulting advice that is strategically aligned with the business and to deliver results that include a knowledge transfer as added value. His executive leadership and coaching skills have been well recognized.

John maintains an association with the Canadian Telecommunications Consultants Association - (CTCA) where he has developed excellent working relationships with major telecom vendors and is included in many vendor consultant liaison programs. He has served as President of the CTCA and continues to serve as a member of the CTCA Past-President's Council where he works closely with his many consultant colleagues. John also maintains a close liaison with IT vendors to remain current in this fast paced environment. MayneStay relies on these relationships to build multi-disciplinary teams of specialists to respond to most consulting challenges
Recent projects have included migration from IBM Mainframe legacy systems to client/server environments, major retrofitting of corporate telecommunications and systems infrastructures and deployment of corporate information security systems.
Assignments have included work with a number of USA government departments and major corporations in North America, Europe and Australasia. His most recent long term assignment overseas was with CIDA and World Bank projects in the Philippines.
Since 1999 John has been a contractor for the International Information Systems Security Certification consortium (ISC)² and has delivered in excess of 100 training weeks of information security Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) review as preparation for securing the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) designation. He has also been contracted as a trainer for the CISA CBK review and is currently developing an online training program for the CISA designation.
While not engaged in Information Security training assignment John conducts consulting assignments related to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) as specified by the PCI Council.
A note of interest is that John has, in the past, been directly involved with the credit union movement in both Ontario and BC. He was instrumental in the development of the first credit union ATM network in BC (Pacific Network Services) and has worked with the Stabilization Central Credit Union of British Columbia. While working in Ontario he provided computer services to Cooperators Data Services Limited (CDSL) and Credit Union Central of Ontario, now amalgamated with BC Central Credit union as Central 1 Credit Union.
The principle business office of MayneStay Consulting Group Ltd. is located on Mayne Island, BC with a local office in Vancouver to facilitate Lower Mainland contracts and easier access to North America and overseas air travel.
