Relevant Experience

Over 25 years teaching and administrative experience in secondary and post secondary education in Ontario, Alberta and B.C. including two years in an International IB School in Manila, Philippines as Chaplain, Department Chair, K to 12, and Senior Administrator.

11 years from 1978-1989 in the training and development industry marketing, facilitating, designing and delivering programs in the private and public sectors. From 1986-1989 Western Regional Director for the North American education practice of DMR, an international consulting company, working with clients and consultants and managing major projects across Canada and the western USA. Clients have included Finning Tractor, BP Oil and Gas, Syncrude, Canada Post, Great West Life, MacMillan Bloedel, B.C. Government Ministries and Crown Corporations. More recent clients include, Triumph Timber, the R.C.M.P,. Translink, Rogers Wireless, Federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

10 years as an active ordained Anglican Priest, Diocese of New Westminster, specializing in parish ministry consulting projects, volunteer leadership support and chairing strategic leadership committees. 1990-2000. In her role as Chair of the Diocesan Strategy Committee, she implemented the first ever diocesan wide (over 80 parishes) consultation in preparation for the election of the current Bishop.

Two years as Executive Officer of the Brent School in Manila, the Philippines, an international school of 850 students from 27 different cultural and language groups, and 90 faculty and staff members. As a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of a school wide department, Thomi played a critical role in establishing and implementing direction and policy for this complex organization. On leaving this position to return to Canada the Headmaster expressed his gratitude for the significant contribution she had made in only two years.

Founding partner MayneStay Consulting Group Ltd., Certified Management Consultant, (CAMC), ICF Professional Certified Coach with over 1500 hours of coaching experience including managerial and senior executive coaching. Her wise experience over many years in a variety of private and public sector organizations has given her a depth of understanding and comfort with organizational complexity and individual challenge.
